Compassion and generosity earn Carling’s CCO Humanitarian award
Healthcare Marketer’s Exchange (HME) announced the winners of its 2nd annual Humanitarian Awards, and Sherri Wilkins, Carling Chief Creative Officer, was recognized. HME cited Sherri’s efforts to improve literacy through the San Diego Council on Literacy/READ and Nyack College Adult Continuing Education, raising money and awareness for the Boys and Girls Club of San Diego, and volunteering for various alumni projects as some of the reasons for the award.
Sherri tries to lead a life where her gratefulness is expressed in bettering the lives of those around her. "Whatever you can touch, how you live your life, should be to help the people and community around you," Sherri said. "…Even the simple things like a smile in the hallway or a ‘hello’ to a complete stranger can work miracles for someone. I really believe that," Sherri said. "The bonus is, it makes you feel good, too."
"Sherri is an outstanding nominee because she helps from the heart – not because she has been asked to, or for any recognition," said Nicole Blazie, HR Manager for Carling Communications. "This extends from her work here at Carling to her life at home and in the community. She has more compassion than anyone I know."
