Interns make outstanding employees
SAN DIEGO, CALIF., June 4, 2017 –
Building on the success of its first year, the Carling Apprentice Program, or CAP, kicked off with interviews at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and San Diego State University (SDSU) campuses in April. The 6-week apprenticeship is open to recent graduates or current undergraduate students who are interested in entering the advertising industry. Six interns were offered positions in client services, creative, project management and medical writing. The apprenticeship is designed to give interns firsthand experience in the ins and outs of working at an award-winning pharmaceutical advertising agency.
CAP is an excellent way to hire entry-level talent. Hiring is dependent upon the apprentices' performance and contribution, as well as the agency's hiring capabilities. Both 2016 interns became full-time employees at the conclusion of CAP. The agency is optimistic that this year's eligible interns will also join the agency.
